Meet the APPROACH project at the OARSI conference in Toronto, May 2019
Next month the annual World Congress on Osteoarthritis (OARSI) will take place in Toronto, Canada. In total about 35 APPROACH project members will travel to Toronto to take part in this meeting.
We are proud to have 6 project members presenting in both general and specialized sessions. Felix Eckstein (Chondrometrics GmbH) and Diana Hodgins (GaitSmartTM) will showcase learnings from the APPROACH project in 2 posters on ‘intersite comparison and test-retest reliability of cartilage thickness and compositional analysis’ and ‘gait kinematics for patients with early stage knee osteoarthritis’. Pawel Widera (Newcastle University) will present APPROACH project data in an oral presentation on machine learning. Finally, Erwin van Spil (UMC Utrecht), Margreet Kloppenburg (LUMC) and Anne-Christine Bay-Jensen (Nordic Bioscience) will elaborate in individual oral presentations on biomarkers, epidemiology and personalized therapies for OA.
The meeting will also be a moment for APPROACH members to meet face to face and reflect on the study progress, and for the APPROACH Steering Committee to get together and make plans for the next year.
